Introducing Board Member Ashleigh Bear

Ashleigh Bear

Ashleigh Bear is from Brokenhead Ojibway Nation. She is a mother of two little ones who keep her motivated. She is on the Membership Committee in Brokenhead First Nation, sits on the Sothern Chief’s Organization Child and Family Services Advisory Circle, the Jordan’s Principal Committee, and the Health Transformation Advisory Circle, in the gender-based violence section.  Ashleigh works directly with MMIWG2S+ families at Ka Ni Kanichihk. She brings first-hand knowledge of living both on and off reserve with her to her work. Ashleigh lives in Winnipeg and is a returning member of the Board of Directors at MMVI.
